We are committed to the
Democratic Vision
The Democratic Party is committed to keeping our nation safe and expanding opportunity for every American. That commitment is reflected in an agenda that emphasizes the security of our nation, strong economic growth, affordable health care for all Americans, retirement security, honest government, and civil rights.
We believe in a
Greater Ohio
The Democratic Party believes even in its glorious differences, Ohio is one state, and we are one people. We can improve access to health care, offer affordable coverage to every child in Ohio, and in-home assistance to seniors who need it. We can bolster Ohio's economy by building a more skilled and more educated workforce and capitalizing on our strengths. We believe Ohio can take the lead in the national and international economies. We can reduce the burden on taxpayers while making our school funding more equitable. We believe in government that is accountable, fair, efficient and effective.
We work towards a
Beautiful and prosperous Warren County
While Warren County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state and the region, and has relatively low unemployment, we still have free food banks and pantries that cannot keep up with the demand from our neighbors. Our seniors struggle with difficult economic challenges: ever increasing costs for personal prescriptions and rising property taxes to fund our burgeoning schools. Our young people leave Warren County and Ohio, seeking opportunity. And unchecked development strains our infrastructure, snarls our streets with traffic, and threatens our heritage of pastoral beauty. We believe we can do better. We work to create sustainable growth and to expand the opportunity to achieve to all the citizens of our county.
We are a
Party of inclusion
We are composed of every color, gender, age, race and sexual orientation. We come from the cities, the townships, the farms, every corner of the county. We know that diversity is a good thing and that we all grow from it. We are a party of faith, morality, and family values. We reject the politics of fear and embrace an abiding sense of hope. We acknowledge that we have no monopoly on good ideas or high ideals. We seek a balance in local government that celebrates participation by all citizens, and we reject those that would seek to divide us.
