ODP/LEAD Ohio Campaign Management Bootcamp
Apr 29 @ 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Hello Ohio Democrats! The Ohio Democratic Party’s Main Street Initiative is partnering with LEAD Ohio PAC and on a campaign management bootcamp for Democrats across Southwest Ohio. From Dayton to Cincinnati, Oxford to Hillsboro, Batavia to Springfield, all are welcome.

Register here for this in-person training, which will be held on Saturday, April 29 in Warren County from approximately 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Once you are accepted, you will receive the location, full schedule, and other materials. This training is free and lunch is provided.

This training will cover topics like: planning your campaign, crafting your message and narrative as a candidate, fundraising, engaging with the media and getting your message out via various communications channels, direct voter contact and field organizing, and more.

Because each event has a fixed number of spots, priority will go to to candidates, staff, and volunteers who plan to get involved in 2023 campaigns, though we also welcome potential future candidates, party activists and volunteers, and other good Democrats who want to get involved to register as well. We will begin sending out acceptances on a rolling basis on April 14.

Early Voting: August Special Election @ Warren County Board of Elections
Jul 11 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

There’s a lot at stake this August. The Ohio GOP, spurred on by out-of-state billionaires and special interests, have put a special election on the calendar on August 8 for only one issue: to give more power to corrupt Columbus politicians and the out-of-state special interests that are bankrolling their campaigns, and take it away from the people of Ohio.

Issue 1 would make it harder for the people of Ohio to get statewide initiatives on the ballot, by giving the people of one low-population county the power to block any statewide initiative, and make it harder to pass those initiatives by allowing a 40% minority of voters to block anything the majority wants.

Early voting is available for the August 2023 special election from July 11 – August 7. Lock in your vote early so you don’t have to worry about it later on. Any registered Warren County voter can vote early at the Board of Elections, regardless of your polling place on Election Day.
