WCDP Monthly Meeting @ Warren County Administration Building
Aug 16 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
WCDP Monthly Meeting @ Warren County Administration Building

Please plan on joining us for our August meeting. This is an extremely important meeting, as members of the WCDP Executive Committee will be electing a new county party chair to replace our outgoing chair Bethe Goldenfield as she retires after decades of service to our party. We’ll also be recapping our efforts in the August 8th election — recognizing the hard work of everyone who volunteered, and celebrating our victory in blocking Issue 1. Because of that high-priority business, we won’t have a guest speaker at our August meeting.

We will be live-streaming the meeting on our Facebook page for those who aren’t able to attend in-person, but in-person attendance is required for Executive Committee members to vote on any party business. There is no process in the WCDP Bylaws for proxy voting or for remote voting at an in-person meeting.

2023 WCDP Gala & Silent Auction @ Manor House
Aug 20 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Mark your calendars now: Our 2023 Gala & Silent Auction will be at 1:00pm on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the Manor House in Mason. The WCDP Gala is always a good time with spectacular speakers, great food, and fellowship — and the silent auction is our main fundraising event every year.

We’ve already confirmed two great guest speakers: Ohio Supreme Court Justice Melody Stewart and ODP Chairwoman Liz Walters. Two dynamic, passionate Democrats!

Tickets are $80 each, or sponsor a table of eight for $600.

You can buy your tickets on our ActBlue page or by mailing a check to the Warren County Democratic Party, PO Box 705, Lebanon, OH 45036.

Silent Auction Donations Needed

The silent auction is by far the biggest money-raiser at the gala, and helps keep ticket prices down as well as funding the party’s ongoing operations, helping to support Democratic candidates, and funding local organizing. Our goal for this year’s silent auction is to focus on quality items and themed baskets, including “local content” baskets.

Please help us make this year’s Gala successful by donating items you may have, and asking for donations from your favorite businesses and restaurants. Click here for some suggestions and a donation form.

ODP Volunteer Summit
Sep 9 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

After a resounding win on August 8th, we Ohio Democrats have an incredible amount of momentum on our side. Looking forward to the fight to codify reproductive freedom into our constitution and countless critical fights in 2024, we need to continue building off our success and work up even more organizing muscle!

Join us in Columbus on Saturday, September 9th for our inaugural Volunteer Summit. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow activists throughout the state who engage in the same vital electoral work as you do face to face. We’ll also hear from many exciting guest speakers who have been doing great organizing work as Democratic operatives for a long time. And no Ohio Democrat event is complete without an appearance from Senator Sherrod Brown, so he’ll be there too!

This Volunteer Summit is a key opportunity to refocus and emerge with clear direction and unison for the long road ahead in this fight to turn Ohio blue. Should be a grand old time too with a lot of fun to be had!

Details of exact location to follow. We look forward to seeing you soon in Columbus!

Early Voting: November 2023 General Election @ Warren County Board of Elections
Oct 11 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

There’s a lot at stake this November. The Ohio GOP, spurred on by out-of-state billionaires and special interests, already have a super-restrictive six-week abortion ban — with no exceptions for rape or incest — on the books, and they’re already talking about outlawing all abortions and even contraception. They think government — not a woman and her doctor — should decide what you’re allowed to do with your body. It’s time for those of us who still believe in American freedoms to stand up for our rights.

We also have lots of great local candidates running to return sanity to our local government. Republicans want to pack our school boards, city councils, and township boards with more far-right extremists. We deserve common-sense Democratic candidates who will put the people first — not a far-right ideological agenda.

Early voting is available for the November 2023 special election from October 11 – November 5. Lock in your vote early so you don’t have to worry about it later on. Any registered Warren County voter can vote early at the Board of Elections, regardless of your polling place on Election Day.

Remember that you need a current photo ID to cast a ballot in-person at early voting or on Election Day.
