The time is NOW to protect Abortion access in Ohio. Overwhelmingly, Ohioans support abortion, and other types of reproductive healthcare, and believe that the government should stay out of people’s healthcare decisions. The ACLU of Ohio, along with a multitude of organizations, is working to put abortion on the ballot this year through a citizen initiated effort. Join them on Monday, March 13th, to hear about their efforts and how you can help protect and defend this human right.
This is a virtual event. Click here to sign up.
Join the League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area for a free preview screening of Trailblazing Women in Ohio Politics, a new documentary from WBGU-PBS looking at some of Ohio’s most important and influential politicians and the trailblazing path they took to elective office. Party members who are part of the LGBTQ+ community are currently laying the groundwork to launch the Ohio Democratic Party’s newest constituency group, the Pride Caucus. Their goal is to create a network of volunteers, advocates, organizers, candidates, donors and voters across Ohio to advance issues important to all of us.
In the coming weeks, Pride Caucus organizers will be hosting opportunities via Zoom of LGBTQ+ Ohioans who are interested in this new endeavor. While they already have amassed a long list of community and party activists, they are committed to making sure that the new Pride Caucus includes Democrats from every part of our state.
Our new ODP Pride Caucus will help amplify the voice of LGBTQ+ Ohioans and offer them a community-centered vehicle to become more active in campaigns and elections. It has great potential to help Democrats up and down the ballot in every part of our state.
