The Art of Democracy: A Fundraising Gala Celebrating Expression and Freedom @ Great Wolf Lodge
Aug 2 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Art of Democracy: A Fundraising Gala Celebrating Expression and Freedom @ Great Wolf Lodge

Join us for a powerful evening where creativity fuels civic action.

This year’s Gala shines a spotlight on the vital connection between the arts and a thriving democracy. Through live performances, storytelling, and recognition of local changemakers, we’ll celebrate how creative expression empowers people to raise their voices, imagine bold futures, and drive real change.

Why Attend?

Because democracy is more than voting — it’s the songs, stories, murals, and movement that bring it to life. This fundraising event directly supports the Warren County Democratic Party’s mission to grow local leadership, defend democracy, and build grassroots power through 2025 and beyond.

Featured speakers: Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval and David Pepper

Dinner, awards, silent auction, and time to connect with fellow Warren County Democrats

This event is WCDP’s biggest fundraiser of the year and helps power our ambitious 2025 campaign plan — supporting what could be our largest bench of local candidates yet, all running in nonpartisan races like school boards and city councils across Warren County.

You can purchase individual tickets or sponsor a table of 8 to bring friends and family.

VIP Experience – Limited Availability

Arrive early for an exclusive VIP gathering, where you’ll meet leading Democratic voices in an intimate setting and connect with fellow supporters of art and activism.

Together, let’s honor the art — and the heart — of democracy.

Your presence and your generosity will shape the future.

2025 WCDP Award Nominations Open

At our 2025 Fundraising Dinner + Silent Auction, we’ll be giving out awards to the people who best exemplify the Democratic spirit and contribute to the growth of our party and progress in our community.

Here are the awards we’re seeking nominations for:

  • Democrat of the Year: This award goes to a Warren County Democrat who deserves unique recognition for either their leadership of the party over the last year or otherwise helping to represent the party in an exemplary way that reflects the best attributes and ideals of the Democratic Party.
  • Rising Star: This award recognizes a newer Warren County Democrat who is an emerging leader. Someone who contributed to making WCDP a stronger party in service to either the party or its candidates in the past year.
  • Generosity Award: Some people are just truly generous with their time or other resources. The Generosity Award goes to the person whose contributions are always above and beyond to make the WCDP a stronger party in service to either the party or its candidates in the past year.
  • Nevertheless, She Persisted: In 2017, Mitch McConnell attempted to silence Senator Elizabeth Warren with this phrase during Jeff Sessions’ confirmation hearing for Attorney General — and then progressive women adopted it as a rallying cry. It refers to any strong woman who refuses to be silenced. Fighting all forms of discrimination against women takes persistence. This award goes to the woman who got the message to stop advocating for her rights, either directly or indirectly, yet she continued to fight and successfully brought positive change.
  • Young Democrat of the Year: Young Democrat of the Year goes to recognize a young (40 or under) Warren County Democrat who is an emerging leader. Someone whose contribution in making WCDP a stronger party in service to either the party or its candidates in the past year.

Nominations close on July 22nd, so nominate that deserving someone today!

WCDP Executive Committee Meeting @ WCDP Headquarters
Aug 11 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

The WCDP Executive Committee, which meets at least four times per year, is responsible for the bulk of the ongoing oversight of the county party. It includes all the members of the Central Committee as well as the officers (elected by the Executive Committee) and numerous “at-large” members, who are elected by the existing Executive Committee at the recommendation of the chair.

In 2025, we have separated the Executive Committee meetings from our regular monthly meetings, in order to ensure that all of our priorities can have the time and energy they deserve. We will hold Executive Committee meetings on the second Monday of January, April, June, and September, at 6:30pm at WCDP Headquarters. Per our party bylaws, Executive Committee members will receive a meeting notice, agenda, and relevant documents via email at least five days before the meeting date.

Per ODP and WCDP bylaws, all Executive Committee meetings are open to the public, but only Executive Committee members can vote on Executive Committee business. Non-members may be permitted to speak at Executive Committee meetings, at the discretion of the Chair.
