Ohio Democratic Party Pride Caucus: LGBTQ+ Community Listening Sessions
Mar 21 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Party members who are part of the LGBTQ+ community are currently laying the groundwork to launch the Ohio Democratic Party’s newest constituency group, the Pride Caucus. Their goal is to create a network of volunteers, advocates, organizers, candidates, donors and voters across Ohio to advance issues important to all of us.

In the coming weeks, Pride Caucus organizers will be hosting opportunities via Zoom of LGBTQ+ Ohioans who are interested in this new endeavor. While they already have amassed a long list of community and party activists, they are committed to making sure that the new Pride Caucus includes Democrats from every part of our state.

Our new ODP Pride Caucus will help amplify the voice of LGBTQ+ Ohioans and offer them a community-centered vehicle to become more active in campaigns and elections. It has great potential to help Democrats up and down the ballot in every part of our state.

Workers Memorial Day (Cincinnati) @ UAW Local 863 Union Hall
Apr 27 @ 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm

More than 50 years ago on April 28, the Occupational Safety and Health Act went into effect, promising every worker the right to a safe job — a fundamental right. The law was won because of the tireless efforts of the labor movement, which organized for safer working conditions and demanded action from the government to protect working people.

Since then, unions and our allies have fought hard to make that promise a reality—winning protections that have made jobs safer and saved lives. But our work is not done. Each year, thousands of workers are killed and millions more suffer injury and illness because of dangerous working conditions that are preventable.

Each April 28, the labor movement commemorates Workers Memorial Day to remember workers killed, injured, or made ill on the job, and to renew the fight for strong safety and health protections. Please join our union brothers and sisters in acknowledging this solemn occasion.
